Your Prep Hero: routing as part of your meal prep operation

If delivery day starts with exporting orders, rebuilding a list and texting everyone their route, the extra coordination is part of the problem.

We connect your custom ordering app, kitchen dashboard and delivery routing, and handle the setup around the way your business works.

  • Plan the run: turn the day’s meal orders into routes for your drivers.
  • Keep drivers moving: give them the next stop, directions and doorstep instructions on their phone.
  • Keep everyone informed: customer updates, delivery progress and photos of completed drops stay with the order.

The trade-off: this comes with a Prep Hero engagement. It is not a free standalone app you can sign up for separately.

Explore the delivery routing features

EasyRoutes: a strong option if your store already works

EasyRoutes supports Shopify and a separate web version. It plans routes, sends them to drivers and lets customers track their deliveries.

Its Shopify-only free plan allows 50 orders a month, up to 10 stops per route and one driver. Paid plans start at US$39 per driver seat a month. Premium is US$59 per seat and includes delivery photos, real-time driver location, time-window planning and email/SMS notifications. SMS usage costs extra.

The trade-off: more active drivers increase the subscription cost. Check the plan that includes the delivery features you actually use.

Routific: a separate planner priced by orders

Routific combines route planning, a driver app, customer tracking and proof of delivery. It includes unlimited drivers, which makes it worth comparing when different people cover different delivery days.

The free plan covers up to 100 orders a month. The next tier is US$150 a month for up to 1,000 orders, with order-based pricing above that. SMS notifications are an add-on.

The trade-off: the first paid tier is a step up from free. Compare your actual monthly order count, and account for connecting it to your ordering and kitchen tools.

OptimoRoute: more detailed delivery planning

OptimoRoute is worth a look when planning involves several drivers, different start locations or deliveries spread over the week. Its Pro plan includes weekly planning, live order tracking and proof of delivery.

Lite and Pro are priced per driver, with monthly or annual billing. A 30-day free trial gives you time to test how it handles a delivery week.

The trade-off: a free trial ends, and prices shown with annual billing mean paying for a year. Check the monthly option and which features you need before comparing totals.

Try one real delivery week before switching

A tidy map is only part of the job. Walk through the small things that usually send a question back to you.

  1. Start with your orders. Include a skipped subscription, a changed address and an order for pickup. Check that only the right deliveries reach the run.
  2. Plan around your drivers. Use their actual shifts, delivery windows and the number of meal bags each vehicle can carry.
  3. Open a stop on a phone. Find the apartment number, gate code, bag count and safe-place note without calling the kitchen.
  4. Change something after planning. Move a stop or reassign a driver. Check that the updated information reaches the right person.
  5. Finish the delivery. Add a photo, check the customer update and find the record when someone asks where their meals were left.

Compare the full cost at that volume: software, messages, connections and the time your team still spends preparing routes.

Common questions about EasyRoutes alternatives

Is EasyRoutes the same as Roundtrip.ai?

EasyRoutes (also written as Easy Routes) is the delivery-routing product from Roundtrip.ai. Roundtrip is the company behind it, not a replacement name. The official Shopify listing shows both names.

Is there a free EasyRoutes alternative?

Yes, with different conditions. Your Prep Hero includes routing free for Prep Hero customers. Routific offers a standalone free plan up to 100 monthly orders. EasyRoutes itself also has a limited free plan for Shopify stores.

Do I need to replace my whole meal prep setup?

That depends on what is causing the work. If ordering and kitchen preparation run well, a separate routing tool may be enough. If you keep moving the same information between apps, compare how the whole delivery week fits together. Our meal prep software comparison covers the wider options.

Make delivery day less dependent on you.
